Soho’s finest acts are about to take centre stage this summer 2017 and here is what to look out for.

This summer you can find a variety of acts from musicals to stand up comedy. The thumping heartbeat of London’s finest keep the crowd coming all throughout the summer.

Soho provides solid entertainment not just in theatre, but in film too. The soul of West End has been focusing on entertaining its audiences from around the globe.

John Taylor, former Vice-President of the British Board of Film Classification said, “Soho is the heartbeat London’s West End and thrives in entertainment. What is spectacular about the area is that stars from all over the world come right here for red carpet premieres and it is a spectacular experience.”

Taylor recommends visiting one of the splendid venues at Vue, Odeon or Cineworld for a late night flick.

Soho has also been the backdrop for silver screen films such as “Expresso Bongo,”which was a 1959 classic featuring plenty of evening shots of night life in the West End.

And you just can’t leave Soho without treating yourself or a friend to a spectacular West End show.

Still going strong in its 6th year is Thriller Live, performing at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Bridgette Anne, 21, is a Thriller enthusiast who says that one can get a feel for the King of Pop’s musical genius at the show.

“Thriller Live brings you back to the place of Michael Jackson’s magic. If you are a fan of MJ you’ve definitely got to make it over there. I’ve always loved discovering this part of the area but this is a must and it’s just fantastic.”

The Gielgud, Apollo and Les Miserables London Theatre also provide pulsating concerts and heart warming shows.

Filipe Ogando, dance instructor and fitness coach, recommends coming to the area as well.

“I have worked in the area for years and there’s nothing quite like the vibe of theatre,” he said. “I’ve had the opportunity of teaching dance at various venues but there’s something really special about this place. I believe there’s plenty of theatre here for everyone.”

So whether you’ve been eyeing that particular act for some time or just looking for that last minute late night film, the West End has something to offer everyone. Here are some start dates to look out for this summer for those looking to seek out some much anticipated theatre in 2017:

The Wind in The Willows, June 16th

Outings, June 26th

Touch, July 6th

Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, July 13th

The Simon & Garfunkel Story, September 4th
